Some of you out there may already know this one, but maybe you forgot a step or two!  As a little bit of entertainment, I’ve added something I find hilarious at the end.  I hope you enjoy!

The Four Aces
This is not a trick I invented.  A friend of mine taught it to me when I was much younger.  Who knows how old it is?!  All you need is deck of cards.  I hope you enjoy it!

Start with the four aces on top of the deck face down.  The secret to this trick lies in remembering where the aces are at all times.  No one but you should know this.  Set the deck down and ask someone from your audience to cut the deck into two somewhat-even piles.  Remember which pile has the aces!

Next, ask the person from the audience to cut each of those piles in two as well.  You should have four piles of cards, one pile with all four aces on top (still face down).
Remember which pile has the cards!  In the picture, it will be the far right pile.

Now, pick up the pile farthest from the one with the aces.  Explain, “I’m going to mix these cards up a little.”  Proceed with the pile in your hand and remove three cards from the top and place them on the bottom of the pile.  Next deal one card from your hand on top of each of the other three piles still on the table.

Pick up the next pile in line and do the same thing, three from the top to the bottom and deal three cards, one on each of the piles on the table.  Continue to do this with the last two piles making sure the last pile is the one with the aces.  You can say something like, “Many people are not aware that the most popular cards in a deck are not the kings or queens, but … the aces!”  Start turning over the top cards on the deck as you say “…the aces!”  Take a bow and thank your audience!

Remember to practice this first on your own.  This helps you from messing up in front of others, and that can be embarrassing!  To show you what happens when you don't practice, watch the following clip of the Masked Magician on Brazilian television.  Please learn from his mistake.  He definitely is no magician!

What's that Angel's guy name again?  This is one of my favorites of Copperfield!
If you have the time, look up "Barry & Stuart" on Youtube.  They are a favorite of mine.  They are hilarious British magicians.  I could not post any here because they requested sole rights of their videos. (Sigh, oh well.)  If you can, let them know that Blackthorn would love a job with them.  Thanks!
Cyril is a Japanese magician.  As you can tell from the video, he's amazing!  He has been on American television as well under a little-known show:  T.H.E.M.  From what I understand, Copperfield helped out with that show as well.
I will continue to post more as I remember some and find new ones!  Feel free also to suggest some.  Thanks!
